While looking for a photo I ran across this one taken a dusk. Pretty typical of the dreadful photos for which I am downright famous. . . .but I like it anyway!

Legacy Eve of Paradise, daughter of Wee Gaelic Ms Fermoy. Ms Fermoy herself was dehorned, so never got a chance to show her horns for the world to see.

Mr. Hale,
Thanks for adding those photos! I have a cow that could be a twin to the first photo! And thanks for raising Dexter cattle with the horns that are supposed to adorn their polls! They are beautiful.

Every time I scroll through this page I stop at Judys photo of all those horns in the dusk , it's kind of haunting, and if I were a bad person with ill intent, I think I would not mess with this paddock!
And yes, dhale, I agree with wvdexters, that's a really fine photo, it's Art!
I'd like that framed!

Gene, Vicki Solomen gave permission to add the oxen, but I don't use those photo sites the rest of you use and have not found time to set one up. If you have a moment of thumb twiddling maybe I could lean on you? And the photos of the horns of Seara and her calf? And did you see those horns on Mary Jane Phifer's cow. My goodness. . . . gotta get those!
Bill, I just got around to watching the video! I loved that song when I was a kid. There are a few friends here who will not remember Bing, ( White Christmas was my all time favorite movie with him)1 and wen Roy Rogers jumped up from the chair it brought back all the Saturday mornings with Roy and Dale, and there was the Lone Ranger and Tonto, Hop-a-Long and remember Cisco Kid, and Pancho? And Rin Tin Tin! Oh my goodness! Bill, are your initials WW?

P.s. My tricycle was named Nellie-Belle! (Roy's old jeeps name)

Here are two pictures of Vicki Solomon's Dexter oxen. One was taken when they were 6 years old and one was taken when they were 16 years old.
Photos used with permission. I'd love to see Vicki submit some of these amazing photos and a little story to the ADCA publication... Is she a member? (I hope so) These photo's are the BEST promotion for traditionally horned dexters. We need LESS debate over details of ancient paper pedigrees and more focus on the animals themselves and their useful traits.
