Was this staged? It looks like there is something on the front of that "Jeep" like a rope or chain as it came up out of the water?

My Kawasaki Mule will do that as long as you can keep the top of the roll bar out of the water. That is where the air intake is and everything is water-tight.
I remember watching safari newsreels where Jeeps and Land Rovers forded streams nearly completely submerged.
My Daddy was an Army motor pool mechanic and he took me to work with him one time. One of the vehicles he showed me had the air intake and exhaust way up high so it could ford deep streams.
It's not new. It's just unusual.
