Sandra Ingalls van Heerden 10-12-1932 - 5-17-2019
Sandra Ingalls van Heerden was a good friend of the Dexter preservation effort, sharing herd books and photographs, time and information. Ms. van Heerden was the great granddaughter of J.P. Morgan, famous financier and banker. Her Grandmother, Louisa Morgan Saterlee, purchased Dexters from Howard Gould's Castlecould breeding, and the Hempstead House herd of Daniel Guggenheim, and established the Dover House herd, Mrs. Saterlee passed on her fondness for the Dexter breed to her daughter, Mabel Morgan Saterlee Ingalls who established the Clove Brook herd, and then passed the Clove Brook herd to her daughter, Sandra Ingalls van Heerden. A family history of Dexter cattle breeders spanning two centuries.
