I am not fond of the dark faced Jerseys. Where did that come from? Was this coloring in early Jersy cattle? My Dad milked Jerseys when I was a kid and I vaguely recall "Old Horney" was dark in color. Jerseys are like Dexters with their distinctive horns. they do not look the same without them

I was thinking these were like Brown Swiss, or something. The white muzzle is attractive! The article is good and makes me want some milkers even more.

Who can name all the reasons why Dexter milk is the best?
My favorite is: Smaller fat globules means easier digestion.

Gene,
I have been milking the past couple weeks. It is the first time I have milked in more than a year. I have four A2/A2 cows with calves and I have Amish folks driving me crazy for A2 cows. Their community seems to have an intolerance for commercial milk.
I have NOT drank any however. I have not had time to think of making butter either, one of my favorite things! Homemade butter on homemade bread and I have not done that for a while either. I'm losing my skills, alas!
For now, all I can remember is how wonderful the milk tastes.
