Mother nature seems to be like our modern politics. No moderation anymore! This past winter had the longest period of sustained freezing weather I ever recall. I don't think I was ever warm. Thursday night I was awakened by what sounded like half my house falling down. I still don't know what caused the racket, but I think it was a tree that came down. The winds seemed like they were hurricane force with the intensity of the noise. It wasn't until mid-morning on Friday that the electricity went. I just got the electric back late this afternoon. My lines were on the ground beneath huge trees that had to be removed in several places. I had SIX trees that fell on my road. Three were small, one was medium size, and the other two were HUGE! Beyond the ability of my chain saw or me. I have trees down all over the place. I will never get all those trees cleaned up. If they were oak or cherry those who burn wood would be happy to cut them up, but they are a variety of white pine, ash, poplar, maple, and only a couple of cherry trees. I missed my computer! It took forever for my phone to trickle charge from the truck battery.

I'm sorry to hear that you got hit so hard by the wind storm. I just finished cleaning up 4 big trees that fell in my pasture. I wore out a couple of chain saw chains.
I'll be happy to bring my chain saws and help get your farm cleared. Let me know when would be a good time.
One of mine was too big to cut up. It fell right across the back fence line. I fenced it off! Built new fence up to it and over it. It can stay there until it rots.
