LTC Allen West presents a calm, rational review of the previous decade to focus on the decline of Venezuela, thanks to the socialist model. He shares and expounds uponthe following four quotations:
Vladimir Lenin: “The goal of socialism is communism.”
Margaret Thatcher: “The inherent problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”
Sir Winston Churchill: “Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”
Ronald Reagan: “How do you tell a communist [socialist]? It’s someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist [anti-Socialist]? It’s someone who understands Marx and Lenin.”
West then shifts focus to the upcoming decade:
“2020 connotates clear vision. Let’s clearly see the challenges that we have with a philosophy of governance that promotes wealth redistribution, nationalizing economic production, creating and expanding a welfare nanny state, and social egalitarianism” (i.e., socialism).
“And always remember that this thing called socialism, this tyranny, this scourge …. can only be implemented by fear, intimidation, coercion, threat, and eventually violence.”
“Which is why all socialist dictators always start out by disarming the populace. Because only people that are armed can be citizens. People that have been disarmed will be subjects.”
“And that was a lesson that we learned … on April the 19th of 1775 in these great United States of America.”
