I read an article about a deserted shopping mall in PG county Maryland. In the 70s and 80s it WAS the THE place to go. All the major and minor retail outlets. Easy location off Capital beltway. The story accompanied by a photo of the parking lot with Amazon delivery vans. The deserted mall was purchased by Amazon and being rehabbed to a distribution center,
you familiar with all those new Amazon vans everywhere? Deep dark bluish gray with the phallic symbol on the sides.
I was initially hooked by the free shipping, and the convenience of a world store available by the click of a mouse. Then came ”free” movies and TV shows. Well, free except for that yearly membership fee of $100. (Then $120).
First cord cut was Dishnet.....way back when.... increased prices and increased filth. Bye-bye. Second cord was Netflix. Not so much pricing.......but programming agendas and executive hires in the millions...and more filth. Bye-bye local and national newspapers supporting Marxist-communist agenda, Washington Post a caricature of newspaper now. it was annoying watching Fox’s blonde booby parade. Glad they outed themselves and learned a quick lesson on who was keeping those ratings going for so long, Bye-bye blonde boobyshells.
