Hey, Judy! The above mentioned "study" was written by a Physical Therapist( not a physician)and published, not in a peer reviewed publication, but in the 'Medical Hyothesis' a magazine which has also published pieces like, "High Heels Cause Schizophrenia".
Everyone knows face masks help reduce airborne disease. I'm sure you would be terrified if Your Surgeon showed up to operate without one. While an individual virus may be able to pass, the masks prevent sizeable globs of airborne sputum from being inhaled, but more effectively, keep sputum and mucus and saliva IN, when a Covid Positive pat sneezes or coughs,or talks like Sylvester the cat.
