HansMahncke When a Supreme Court justice — who decides over life and death issues with no recourse or right to appeal —turns out to be among the most ignorant people on the planet, she deserves to be offended. If she had any decency, she'd resign.
Steve Vladeck The ugliness toward Justice Sotomayor is equal parts offensive and entirely unsurprising given where it’s coming from.
i agree. Unbelievable display of ignorance and deceit displayed by a Supreme Court Justice. Sotomayor should resign. She has never been worthy of the position.

Auntie Lope January 17, 2022 9:24 am A little analysis of the corporate worlds motivations for supporting the supposed leftists in the elections and funding of congresspersons (regardless of party) who openly disregard any real conservative values and have put forth such an effort into making Trump go away.
The rich and powerful learned centuries ago that if the assets of most poor rise above the subsistance level, they will immediately give the surplus money back to the rich, usually in search of being entertained.
A good example would be the covid “stimulus” payments. The first thing most poor people do is buy a new I-Phone and the money goes right back to the shareholders of Apple. The problem for the rich was always one of how to give the poor someone elses money so it didn’t come out of their own pocket.
That’s where the middle class come in. We have worked our way up to where we have what the rich consider to be “extra” money and we were using it to gain political power. They don’t want that. Their answer is to tax the middle class and give the money to the poor so they can give it right back to the rich.
“Cash for Clunkers”. Do we remember that? It was attributed to the environmentalists trying to clean up the air but when you use taxpayer money to subsidize the purchase of a new car, who really ends up with the middle class tax money? It’s not the poor, it’s the car dealers and manufacturers. All the poor get is another monthly payment to make using money they get from a different tax of middle class taxpayers.
No paper bags in the grocery stores because ….”Save the Trees!” Nope. How about greedy grocery chains wanted to get rid of the paper bag expense but knew that if only one chain starts it, they will lose customers big time. If they all pulled the paper bags at the same time, the conspiracy would be obvious to the customers. The solution? Lobby (bribe) the politicians to pass a “Save the Trees” law banning paper bags and, viola! the environmentalists get the blame and the money that big grocery was spending on bags now goes into corporate profits (minus the cut they had to “donate” to the politicians to get the law passed).
Illegals coming across the border who get a sack full of taxpayer money as soon as they get here. Within a week, they all have I-Phones courtesy of the middle class and are looking at cars and subsidized housing. Subsidized health care that sucks billions out of the middle class and pours billions into medical corporations. Subsidized car insurance, Section 8 housing, EBT cards, student loans and on and on. Just about every subsidy for the poor that you examine closely enough will prove to be a subsidy for the rich. Obamacare never was about health care, it was about compelling people to give money to big insurance and big medicine or risk having to pay a penalty on their taxes.
It’s not that corporate/politic world has a leftist ideology, it’s that they’re friggin greedy and if they have to use the leftists, BLM and antifa to get their greedy self serving agenda passed, they have no problem with that.
