Hi AGMs, please explain? Cooking sides of beef....did I read about showing of Dexters also somewhere? ?? Our AGMs are boring. Group of people sitting around being told what has been what, a few motions passing previous content and that’s about it unless there is some controversy that’s brewed for half a year etc. We have been to two now and really would prefer to be at home with the moos. So what is it that you do that has members excited to go?

This year will mark the first time I've had an opportunity to go, and will probably be the last opportunity, so I don't want to miss it.
I expect to meet some of the really nice people I've been conversing with on the internet. Finally put a face to the writings.
I want to see and take part in the two new things that are supposed to be at this AGM. A prize-winning cook is suposed to be there selling Dexter beef to eat. There is a milking stall next to the show area and there is a possibility of having a Dexter milking contest.
I liked watching the cattle show at the Virginia State Fair, although the most memorable moment for me was when the animal misbehaved and the show-person got embarrassed. Like the time that a full grown man was pulled off his feet and drug across the show arena. What helped was that I knew the man quite well and we had a laugh about it later. Maybe there will be something like that at the AGM.
In between all that is happening, I hope to meet more people. Especially new people.
