I just read a brief article on the BBC News website which stated that Chinese scientists have successfully genetically modified some cows for resistance to Tuberculosis, I believe it said using DNA of resistant Rats!
What do you think of that?
I just hope they got it right, and didn't add some other rat traits in there by accident!
I watched too many cheap Japanese Horror Movies!

I wonder if they will develop a grading-up program for this, too.

LOL! Funny one Gene. Everything is so confusing in today's world because there is no honor. No honor and no truth. There is little you can trust.
Take a courtroom where people "used" to have to lay their hand on the Bible and swear to " tell the truth and nothing but the truth" and then took the stand and lied through the their teeth. In that same courtroom the State's Attorney will bring a scientist to the stand and under the penalty of perjury he will give testimony on the evidence. He will get down from the stand and the defense will bring another scientist to the stand and under the penalty of pernjury he will give testimony on the evidence. They each give opposite versions of the truth. Which IS the truth? One of them is lying and knowingly so. Who can you trust anymore?
It is the same about everything. A1 milk is bad. A1 milk is OK. Vaccines are good. Vaccines are bad. GMO's are dangerous. . GMO's are OK.
Was there every truly honor amongst men? Or is that a myth too? I don't think anyone cares anymore. How depressing.

I care. I care a lot. I have some friends who care. I worked for years with a group of men and women who cared. There are still people out there who care.
The problem is that there are fewer people that care every time I look.
I try to surround myself with people who care. For the most part, I can do it. But it gets harder and harder to find new people to replace the ones who are not here, now.
I have a friend who is adamant about eating all naturally. He goes to great lengths to get certified GMO free seeds to plant his garden each year. He has a reputation among the rest of my friends as a bit of a kook. They all think he is fighting a losing battle.
I find myself agreeing with the majority. As much as I believe that my friend is right in his beliefs, I can't help but discover that I not only can't do it as well as he does, I don't even want to make the effort. It's too hard and I expect failure.
I keep free range chickens to provide eggs for my table. I feed them a little chicken feed and whole kernel corn every night to get them to go into the hen house, where they will be safe. The chicken feed and corn I buy is almost certainly GMO. I don't have the slightest idea where I could buy chicken feed and corn that isn't. I don't have the time or energy to go find GMO free products. I probably couldn't afford it if I found it.
I'm lost and don't know how to find the way. There is little I can do except accept it and do the best I can.
Change what I can, accept what I can't, and have the wisdom to tell the difference. Famous words. So true.

I know, I know. My Dr. Pepper's are chock full of GMO corn syrup but I am addicted. . . . and I just keep praying that the corporate interests that swear to us GMO is OK are actually right. . . . cause I will die with a Dr. Pepper in my hand or on the table beside me. Judy
