Hi Dave, I'm not exactly sure what sort of guideline you are looking for, I know you are further than I am in the process. Before a newbie can acquire critters of any sort, there has to be facilities ready: Water,(power for wells), shade or shelter, Good solid perimeter fences, and depending on the pasture plan, electric fences for managing grazing if applicable. Then comes the fun part you are outlining!

Not nessasarly guidelines but more whats and needs. You are exactly right about facilities. This is one reason I love this board it makes a person stop and read contemplate. One fault I have always felt is oh I should have !
