Mike,
Oh, my. . . . . .. what beautiful horns! If there is one thing I wish I could influence it would be to encourage owners to KEEP the horns on their cattle. In my ideal cattle world, the leaders who have the mission to protect a breed should protect and encourage the breed characteristics. Find me ONE single article that discusses handling cattle with horns that has been provided as a positive over the years? The only thing I've ever seen is Mr. Chesterley's nasty rant during the time of the approval of Saltaire Platinum against horns.
I love to look at photos of horned cattle. There is so much the horns give to the animal's phenotype.

Yes Mike, those are sure interesting cattle, never heard of them! I like the white muzzle. The horns are sure cool , they look just like pitchforks, and probably work like them too!

Notice how large they are compared to the people handling them and yet they lead them with just a tie around the base of the horns and in the case of the bulls an added nose ring. I have to admit I would be more than a little intimidated by them. I am sure I would feel different if they were mine.
