If a "cattle man" is not invested in the breeding and preservation of a heritage breed. . . . . than one simply has to wonder what they are doing raising polled Dexters instead of polled anything else! Polled Dexters are NOT heritage livestock. Polled Dexters are a modern upgrade. So, if I was raising polled cattle for profit. . . . wouldn't my farm be stocked with traditional polled breeds?
