Big day for us here at Knobley. But especially for our Triu Inion of Paradise and Macklynn. She came into her first heat today and we definitely have ourselves a working bull now. Let me just say that they are certainly taking their part in the "Traditional Red Preservation Effort", and that we should all be seeing some more little reds running around soon!!
We are thrilled. Triu is such a beautifully built little heifer; small in size, so thick, and with such a wonderful personality. I always call her "my little pony" because she is the friendliest cow I have ever met. She's always so happy when we're in the pasture with them and just loves to go through all my pockets while she's getting her "big scratches". She is a beauty and should give us many very fine calves. Macklynn at almost 8 mos old is maturing now and is growing into a very handsome Dexter bull. He is a BIG Ole sweetheart all wrapped up in a little body. I'm so excited about the calves they will make together; and what a pedigree...... Macklynn grandson of Rainbow Hills Sweetie & Brenn of Paradise and son of Rainbow Hill's Big Mac - Triu daughter of Mrs. Fermoy and Brenn. (Fingers crossed for a red.) I can't wait!!
Thank you so much Gene for letting her and Vera J come here with us. They are so loved and you should be so proud of them and their big sister Caitlynn.

I am so proud that Triu is properly filling her role in your pasture. She is so typical of the great calves that Brenn threw. Too often, we didn't get to follow their progress as they grew up. Thank you for keeping us informed.

Keep track of those dates since you could be having a January calf! Good to hear that the little guy is taking his job seriously too. And we'll all be looking forward to some nice traditional red members to the Dexter population!

Yes I am!!! Caitlyn's first calf Knobley Esther Lynn had her very first calf a few days ago for Carole and Clem Nirosky out in Ohio. A beautiful little heifer; so pretty just like her mother. She was sired by their bull Houdini and we all have our fingers crossed that she inherited the RED.
Yes, Time sure does fly.
