I see the discussions have started on this. So I thought I would start a thread here. This is what I posted on another board.
First of all this whole proxy vote thing is an absolute joke. It is just designed to prevent most from voting. It should be a simple mail in ballot. Most of us dont know anyone going to the AGM. Send it to your director and have them vote for you. I think not. They can vote anyway they want regardless of your wishes.
For me it makes no difference I already parentage confirm mine with Legacy. But for some the additional cost will prevent them from registering. If they are going to do this then registration and membership fees need to be lowered. They are to high now and what are they doing with all of this money they take in. I hope those that do jump ship do to this will go to the pdca or Legacy and start registering so their animals will not be lost.
Another thing that is not addressed is the PDCA. I hope this is not an attempt to try and push them out. I assume it will be the same as it is now for bulls and you will just have to genotype the animal to bring it from the pdca to the adca but it is not stated and I would like them to be very clear on how this will affect PDCA animals.

I did notice how they are stating the reason is to help preserve the purity of the breed. Seems I have heard something like that somewhere else. Kind of ironic in this last year they had posted an article claiming that platinum was mostly a dexter and now they want to talk about purity.
