I have an older cow that I am milk sharing with her calf. Since we are only taking 1/2 gallon (on a good day), can we combine milk from separate milkings into a single container?

yes but you will want to cool it first. rewarming the milk will make it go bad sooner. sometimes if I have filled a jar and only have just a small amount left. I will pour it in the jar from the day before. but only if its not enough to significantly warm the milk.
