Even my cows are tired of the rain ! Had put in sacrifice area and barn pasture is so wet water comes up when you walk in it ! 3 1/2" again last night . Local T V says between 11 to 16 in June . The farmers table this morning I asked if I was wrong in thinking our imediate area wasI call it (those guys make and lose more money at that table then they ever will farming). How about every one else we here the west is wild fire, drought, water rationing, ect. and the east is severe storms and shark attacks.

We haven't had any shark attacks yet, but we have had a generous supply of rain.
We haven't come close to matching your rainfall, but we've had so much that the grass is really growing. I'm tempted to pick up a feeder calf or two to eat some of it. I'm cutting it to keep it from becoming a haven for predators and possibly causing pink-eye.
This is the highest water level we've had in our pond at this time of year since we've lived here.
We have thunderstorms forecast for tonight, again.

I'm so glad we got the rain! The pastures are already responding; it was very, VERY dry. I am a big fan of mowing, try to do it just before a good rain or a day or so after before the dust emerges.
Blessings Farms, I have no idea where you are that you're getting so much rain....Texas? New York? Midwest?

O T F we are in Ohio west central by Indiana border. Local News showed Fort Wayne In. had heavy storms and lost power to over 30,000 and ground so wet that 60 mile winds up rooted large trees. We now have record rainfall for June and are approching record month of rain set in 2003. Lots of roads closed and area farmers are saying up to 60% loss of crops. Our county is largest ag county in Ohio and that does drive our economics here too.

Okay, thanks, now I have a better idea. Scary about the damage to crops, etc. Hope things improve!

We've had just the right amount here, maybe a little bit too much a couple of times. A few areas where the cows have been in the rotational pastures are really torn up, but I bet in 7 or so weeks you'll hardly tell. It's amazing how well the grass comes back! It's in the 50's here today for high temps, and the winds are really blowing off Lake Huron. We left the farm early to come back and watch the waves crash on the beach and jetty. I love going to bed listening to the waves, but I can never seem to stay awake long enough to enjoy it like I should.
They are predicting cooler than normal and wetter than normal for the next couple of weeks.

You all need a big drain attached to a pipeline terminating out out here! We'll take any that didn't soak in!
We had unusually promising cloud cover yesterday , I counted six drops, and it cleared up! Dang!
