How to stock pile extra pasture ?

  I started rotational grazing and have 5 dexters and 1 jersey steer (so to become tasty) on about 1/8 acre
for about a week and they are not keeping up with it and have 3 1/2 more acres growing fast. Do I mow and
gather and store or what ?

If you have time and if they'll behave, move them through VERY small sections quickly with a back line, and let them trample it. You might move them 4x per day if you can. Watch them get fat, because they'll learn that when you open a new line they have to get in there and eat to "get their share".

If you have to, mow after they've been through it. Set your height as high as it can go.
