New plant category at the DC fair! Home gardeners can submit their marijuana plants to be judged for ribbons. The plant is legal in DC and can be raised for personal use.
I cannot help but think of the thousands of young lives ruined with felony convictions for possession over the past 50 years and now, state-by-state the taboo lifts.

That is really something. I can't even imagine such a thing. I wonder how they will go about judging it.

No good can possibly come of legalization, as far as I can see, with the exception of medical purposes. The world as we used to know it has changed very dramatically and very quickly. Guess I'm just too old to appreciate these changes.

Karrie, the plants will be judged like other plants or flowers that are entered. The color and health and size of leaves etc.
gale, indeed the baby boomers and their offspring have altered society drastically. I believe the growth of urban areas and the demise of rural lifestyle has been one factor.
