Dont expect them to be pets but have waited for this time. Took feed and hayout to sacrifice area last night I do this every two to three nights as a treat. Boy do they bellow the nights I dont when I get out of truck. They came running so hard I almost ran but I stood in the center of 6 Dexters and rubbed al of them on the necks. The Chautauqua group is coming around they just neede to follow the rest and learn. It still amazes me at the learning capabilities of animals.

Dave, that's the most magical part of owning Dexters. Standing in the middle of them and petting and stroking them. I do it every night and every morning.

This is the time of year I get mobbed every time I walk into the pasture. The trees are loaded with apples, and while they can eat the ones that drop, or the ones that are within reach of their tongue (none have learned to stand on their hind legs...yet..LOL) they see me walk into the pasture and they KNOW that I can pick the apples out of their reach. So it becomes a contest to see which of them can become my "favorite" that I will feed. They slobber all over me and I have to change shirts when I head back inside.

Sounds like fun, Hans! Kinda surprising they haven't figured out some cooperative effort to get those apples!
I didn't think it would take long for the cows to start to love you back, Dave!
