Great news Dave. I actually like calving this time of year, they'll be weaning just as the nice grass starts to come in. I've never had trouble keeping condition on a cow over the winter, however calves grow so well when they wean onto a full spring/summer/fall's worth of grass.

Best I could do . Heifer around 25 to 30 lbs . She will be modern horned . This is the cow we have been so worried about we were given a due date of 2 month ago when bought . First calf , shortie , and backround . Every one seems good .
